Reporting to the Founding Director, the Deputy Director will manage organizational operations across multiple chapter sites and provide support in the areas of finance and budgeting, development and outreach, and administration. The position will have both internal and external responsibilities, including building and strengthening relationships with funding partners and chapter leadership, as well as improving internal systems and supervising staff. The Associate Director oversees several Development, Communications and Operations tasks for the Prisons Art Collective. Responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, funders, volunteers, and the Advisory Council; overseeing key communications tasks, including website and social media activity and maintenance; developing and tracking program and organizational budgets; managing strategic and program sustainability planning in partnership with Executive Director; and providing guidance and mentorship to program and administrative staff. This pivotal role is responsible for facilitating classes in our weekly programs in prisons. Teaching Artists work as a collaborative team, leading simultaneous classes once a week at assigned site.
