SDSU Library of PAC Artwork

Participants in Prison Arts Collective classes within correctional institutions have the option to donate one artwork per semester to PAC with the goal of sharing their work with a wider public. To honor that goal, we make all donated artworks available to the public on our online archive. We also exhibit the artwork in gallery and community settings as much as we can.  When possible, we offer artwork in PAC’s collection to donors in thanks for their generosity. .

This art is being put out into the world by artists and PAC does not profit from this art. This art exhibition and donation program grew out of participants' requests to share their art out in the community to change society's perception about people experiencing incarceration.

Donating to PAC does not guarantee a gifted piece of art, and will be assessed by the PAC finance and donation team as well as the Advisory Board. We evaluate each donation and request for artwork individually based on size and donor. For family members of the artists or those who are incarcerated, we prefer to share the artwork directly. For others that wish to support PAC, we prefer that you donate what you are able to donate and let us know which works of art interest you. The estimated cost of the art will be deducted from your donation.

We welcome donations to PAC in any amount. To understand what amount will be deducted from your donation in also receiving a work of art, with no cash value, suggested donations for small pieces are $50-100; medium pieces from $100-5000, and larger and more detailed works are gifted for donations of $500 or more.

DONATE TODAY: Your gift enables us to provide vital arts programming to thousands of individuals inside CA state prisons. Donations to Prison Arts Collective are tax-deductible. Click here to make a secure online donation.

We want to thank our participants for sharing their art with us and the world, as well as all of our donors who help fund our programming. For more information about the donation process, or artwork by participants, please contact prisonartscollective.info@gmail.com
